Murrayshall, Scone

Situated around an imposing country house hotel overlooking the Vale of Strathmore and mountains of Highland Perthshire, Murrayshall is a real favourite with golf tourists.

There are two courses on which to enjoy your golf, the Murrayshall and the much admired new Lynedoch.

Murrayshall Scone golf course

Murrayshall Championship Course

Measuring 6441 yards, the championship course lies on 350 acres of rolling parkland. The course was designed by Hamilton J. Stutt, the grandson of the great James Braid's chief foreman.

With tree lined fairways, accuracy is key to a good score on this par 73 course. Large white sand bunkers protect expansive but tricky greens. Natural stone bridges span water hazards which will test the accuracy of your iron play.

Home to the PGA under 25 Championship and the Scottish Team Championship, the Murrayshall Course has a high profile and a matching reputation.

The Lynedoch Course

This par 69 course, like the Murrayshall Course, was designed by Hamilton J. Stutt. At 5400 yards, the Lynedoch still provides an exciting round of golf.

Running through Scots Pine woodland and wildflower meadows the undulating fairways lead up to large testing greens. Water hazards and Bracken provide ample protection and will catch any errant golf balls.
