Strathmore Golf Centre, Alyth
Set in the heart of the Strathmore Valley, Strathmore Golf Centre was opened in 1996 and has quickly matured and gained a reputation as the "Friendly Place to Play Golf".
The centre has something for everyone, the 18-hole Rannaleroch Course and the 9-hole Leitfie Links, 10 bay covered golf range, golf academy and a friendly atmosphere in the clubhouse.

Designed by John Salvesen, the Rannaleroch course has already been described as 'a Classic'. The generous greens are great targets, but their undulations make holing out a greater challenge than you might expect.
The four par 3's each present an individual challenge, ranging from 122 to 224 yards, while the fifth, a challenging par 5, requires a 160 yard carry over water from the White Tees.
Set in undulating parkland with hundreds of mature trees, the Rannaleroch Course is forgiving of inexperience, yet presents a stern test of golf from the white tees for low handicappers.
Happily, whatever your handicap, Salvesen's ingenious design ensures there are few uphill holes, despite rolling terrain.
The Leitfie Links is ideal for the beginner, a warm up before a round on Rannaleroch or practise for your short game.
The seven par 3's ranging from 83 yds to 212 yds will test your accuracy with short to long irons.
The smaller greens provide a good test of your ability to hit and hold the short stuff. The 9th green, with it's two levels is a particularly testing green to stay on.
