Royal Golf Hotel - Dornoch
The Swallow Royal Golf Hotel was once a traditional private country residence, and is still set within acres of parkland and on the first tee of the Royal Dornoch golf course.
The Tom Morris Bar and Brasserie serves informal lunches and dinners, including steaks and fish and chips. The dining room has dark wood furniture, an open fire and views of the sea. The bar features a 'whisky wall', with a bewildering array of over 100 whiskies to sample.
The Swallow Royal Golf Restaurant serves a full three course dinner daily; the dining room has leather chairs, white linen tablecloths and traditional framed wall prints.
Conferences and social functions can be accommodated by the hotel and are located in either the conservatory or the main meeting room; the maximum capacity is for 80 people. The 24-hour front desk can assist with booking rounds of golf for guests as well as dry cleaning and the storage of valuables in the safety deposit box.

The hotel is within 100 metres of the Royal Dornoch Golf Club. Inverness Airport is 50 miles from the hotel.
Accommodation
The hotel's 25 guest rooms have modern decor in shades of cream, with cherrywood furniture, dark wood bedsteads, mahogany chests and soft armchairs. All include television, toiletries and coffee/tea makers. Some rooms have views of the Dornoch firth, where the river meets the sea.
